Early Warning/Metrics (In Testing)
The Genesis Early Warning system is a metric-based module that allows district personnel to identify students at risk. The system is based on the state of New Jersey’s A-B-C school metrics methodology. A-B-C metrics refer to Academic Attendance, Behavior, and Course Performance. The Early Warning/Metrics module displays four indicator panels representing Student Attendance Rates for the current school year, Total Number of Incidents per Student in current school year, and Projected Student Final Grade Averages for both ELA and MATH courses students are/were enrolled in this school year. Each panel can be manually customized and filtered.
Reunification
In the event of an emergency, the Reunification Module provides the district with a comprehensive system to monitor and manage student accountability. It enables staff to track each student’s status, whether they are awaiting pickup, have been safely released to an authorized guardian, or are being held for further attention. The module also records parent or guardian check-ins and allows the district to request medical assistance when needed, ensuring a safe and efficient reunification process.
Social Clubs
The club dashboard makes it simple for districts to organize and oversee every club in one convenient place. With powerful tools built right in Administrators can: Confirm student eligibility, including fee payment status, easily manage rosters and keep emergency contact information up to date, monitor academic performance with the attendance watch list, track student conduct and report incidents when needed and streamline scheduling with an integrated calendar for meetings, events and trips. By bringing everything together, the Club Dashboard saves time and helps every club run smoothly, so administrators can focus on creating meaningful experiences for students.
Open Registration
The Genesis Open Registration module provides a quick and easy way for parents and guardians to enter demographic, address, and contact information for newly registered students. This module helps speed up and facilitate the registration process and reduces the need for district personnel to enter the required information for student registrations themselves. The Open Registration portal comes complete with a “registration wizard” that walks the parents/guardians through the process of entering all required information.
Report Writer
Genesis provides a comprehensive custom report creation module called the Report Writer. The Report Writer is used to create complex reports based on student data, grade information, totals, and any other data saved in Genesis. We have developed an extensive library of existing custom Reports which can be downloaded and installed on your Genesis system. These reports are free to download and can be run immediately after installation.
Athletics
Similar to the School Clubs module, Genesis offers a built-in Athletics module to organize and manage Athletics within your district. This module provides one location for all your Sports management needs! The Athletics module includes Student information, health form statuses as they relate to Sports including Physical Exam Forms and other Health Forms, as well as Athletic Release Forms. Quick and easy access allows for Coaches to better manage their players on and off the field.
Scheduling
Simplify student schedule management with tools like the Master Class Builder and Student Scheduler. It allows for easy configuration of class offerings, automated conflict resolution, and real-time adjustments, ensuring an efficient and tailored educational experience for all students.
Nurses
The fully integrated Nurse Module enables comprehensive tracking of student and staff visits, facilitating efficient health management within schools. It features built-in A45 forms that can be populated at any time, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Additionally, the module interfaces seamlessly with the New Jersey (NJIIS), streamlining immunization tracking and reporting.
Portal/Student Portal
The system allows users to easily access and display a variety of important information, including schedules, grades, forms, documents, and more. Providing a comprehensive overview of student progress and administrative needs.
Turnstile
This feature allows students to check in and out of various school events, which can be customized by the school. Examples include the Guidance Office, Nurse’s Office, bathrooms, school dances, and field trips. It provides real-time tracking of student locations throughout the day, ensuring a safe and organized school environment.
Lesson Planner
The Lesson Planner is a module where teachers can manage personal lesson books for their classes. These lesson books can be linked to their courses through the Gradebook, or they can create custom lesson books that are not tied to the Gradebook. Some features the Lesson Plans includes are Lesson Pals, the ability for Administrators to review Lesson Plans, a sync with SchoolFi, and Curriculum Mapping
State Reporting
The system supports NJSLEDS Snapshot Collections, ensuring accurate data reporting for state requirements. It also facilitates the Automatic Student Status Adjustments (ASSA) and imports state assessments seamlessly. Additionally, the platform helps track and manage graduation requirements, providing a comprehensive solution for student progress monitoring and compliance.
